What are the categories of insulation materials in cable production?

1. Plastic insulated cable: Plastic insulated cables are simple to manufacture, light weight, easy to make terminal heads and intermediate joints, small bending radius, simple laying, easy maintenance, and have chemical corrosion resistance and certain water resistance. They are suitable for high drop and vertical laying.

2. Rubber insulated cable: Because the rubber is elastic, stable in performance, and has good electrical, mechanical and chemical properties, it is mostly used in cable lines of 6KV and below.

3. Flame-retardant polyvinyl chloride insulated cable: plastic cables and rubber cable insulation have a common disadvantage, which is that they are flammable. When a line fails, the cable may burn due to local overheating and lead to an exaggerated accident. Flame retardant cables contain flame retardants that do not burn or slow down under open flames.
